Scientific Proofs that Global Warming is Groundless - 550 Words
Scientific Proofs that Global Warming is Groundless (Research Paper Sample) Content: Scientific Proofs that Global Warming is Groundless Name Course Instructor Date Scientific Proofs that Global Warming is Groundless Global warming is the average rise of temperature on the surface of the earth due to the greenhouse effect. Greenhouse effect is caused by entrapped heat within the earthà ¢Ã¢â ¬Ã¢â ¢s atmosphere, caused by an increase in the amount of carbon dioxide gas in the atmosphere. Carbon dioxide is mainly produced by deforestation and combustion of fossil fuels. Research has revealed that there is a general increase of carbon dioxide in the air because of vast industrialization in different countries (Oxlade, 2003). This paper discusses the various scientific proofs that global warming is groundless. Currently, there are various scientific proofs that global warming is real, and it is taking place in an alarming rate. For instance, scientists have revealed that the sea level has been rising. Large oceans have recorded a significant rise in water levels. This is said to be caused by melting of ice caps, and glaciers in the region of Antarctica because of high atmospheric temperature. This has clearly proven that global warming is real, and it exists (Mathiesen, 2004). In addition, scientists have also proven that the ocean acidification has been increasing from the time industrial revolution started. According to the current statistics, it has been approximated that the acidity has increased by 30%. This increase has been due to rise in human activities, which release a lot of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. The upper surface of ocean water absorbs the carbon dioxide gas resulting to an increase in the acidity level. The fact that acidity level is increasing in the oceans, proofs that the carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is also increasing. Since carbon dioxide is responsible for global warming, as the acidity level increases, it means global warming is also taking place at the same rate (Malone, 2009). Research has also revealed that there is an increase in the temperature of ocean water. The top 700 meters (approximately 2,300 feet), of ocean, water has been showing an increase in temperature by 0.302 degrees Fahrenheit. This depicts that the atmospheric temperature has been increasing over time, a clear proof of global warming. Moreover, there has been a general increase in global temperatures. Across different countries, it has been reported that temperatures are increasing abnormally. Different inland water bodies have been shrinking due to increase in the rate of evaporation, because of high temperatures. In conclusion, scientists have clearly proven that global warming is groundless. This has been supported by their various proofs. For instance, they have revealed that the sea level has b...

High School Graduation Speech Family, And Seven Years Ago
Home is where your family is, and seven years ago, my ââ¬Å"homeâ⬠became Wilton Baptist Church. I had just turned twelve when my dad became the full-time pastor in Wilton, but I never thought a group of people could make me feel like I have known them forever. The past seven years has felt like a lifetime. While Wilton has an estimated seventy to eighty members, we are considered a ââ¬Å"smallâ⬠church. I realize that being small allows the members to have a stronger bond with one another that allows us to grow stronger together with God and each other as a family. Trust me, we are nowhere near perfect. There are times where we can get on each otherââ¬â¢s nerves or have different opinions on certain situations, but families donââ¬â¢t always get along. We are humans that make mistakes, but we forgive and love each other no matter what. Over the past seven years, I realized how important they are to me, especially during the time of my high school graduation. Since being a part of Wilton, Iââ¬â¢ve noticed that thereââ¬â¢s a difference between being a church ââ¬Å"memberâ⬠and being a part of a church ââ¬Å"family.â⬠Church ââ¬Å"membersâ⬠are people who walk in, attend the church service, and walk out without truly knowing anyone there. I came to this conclusion after an experience when my family visited a church, larger than Wilton, this past summer.
